Extortionists taking over Kingston waterfront

THE EDITOR, Madam:

I recently went to the waterfront downtown. The extortionists were out in droves charging motorists to park on the main road. They all had on yellow vests, which presumably ‘vested’ them with some authority over the area.

With the opening of the new Roc Hotel and restaurants in the area, the Kingston waterfront has the potential to be a relaxing hang-out spot for locals and visitors. The last thing we need is this promising area becoming a new haven for extortionists and gangs.
