The Rowan Mathie stable, on a high after a fine double on Wednesday, should have a lot more to shout about after tomorrow's second race, the opening event of the Sunrise-6 at Caymanas Park.

Representing the stable in the 1000 metres straight event for high claimers is POLLY B, a consistent six-year-old gelding, who has not won since 2016, but has placed third in overnight allowance company on three occasions this year. One of POLLY B's best runs came over tomorrow's distance on May 19. Usually a front runner, he ran on strongly after being slowly into stride to be 10th by five lengths to the progressive Mr Universe, crossing the line in 59.1 seconds behind the winner's 58.2.

POLLY B is definitely the fastest in tomorrow's line-up and, given a clean break, will be clear of rivals from very early.

OUTRAGEOUS TAJ appears to be going places fast and should not be opposed in the third race over 1000 metres straight. On May 5, the three-year-old gelding won a 1300 metres race by two lengths in a very good 1:19.0. American-bred Hilly's Halo, who was third in that race, returned on June 30 to slam a field of classy three-year-olds by eleven lengths in the excellent time of 1:10.4 for 1200 metres. OUTRAGEOUS TAJ (Oneil Mullings) did a bullet work, 46.0x59.0, from the gates on July 16 and could be using this event as a warm-up for next week's St Leger.

The fourth race looks tailored for BRAVE PROSPECT. He is down a level after placing third by seven lengths to Danos La Paz on June 30. That was in the $450,000 claiming group and with Danos La Paz returning to post another win on Wednesday, BRAVE PROSPECT should easily put away $350,000 claimers over a distance, 1820 metres, which he should be very effective.

In Race Five, SHADED BEAUTY will go off a firm favourite. The eight-year-old mare has been dropped to the $180,000 claiming level just under two months since she won at $250,000 claiming. She was eighth by 14 lengths, to Jolly D, over the straight on July 7 but against tomorrow's weak field, she will be prominent early before posting what should be an easy win.

Take LET IT SNOW in Race Six before closing the Sunrise-6 with RUNDAZZLE in Race Seven.
