Two killed in Holland Bamboo crash
A man and a woman were killed in a horrific crash in Holland Bamboo, St Elizabeth this morning.
The police Corporate Communications Unit says their names have not yet been ascertained.
Investigators at the scene believe speeding was a factor.
Since the start of the year 34 persons have died in motor vehicle crashes, a three per cent decrease when compared with the corresponding period last year.
Police sources say the male victim was driving a car along the Holland Bamboo main road when he attempted to overtake another vehicle.
According to reports, he lost control of the vehicle causing it to collide in a bus travelling in the opposite direction.
It’s believed that the female victim was a passenger in the bus.
